TOM - please branch into "dviid02_tom_1' from dviid02
DAVID - please branch into "dviid02_david_1' from dviid02

remaining bugs

  • the 'keypress' functionality hangs the whole app if it takes place during the 'display results' phase of the software running. we should either block the keys during this - or we should figure out how to exit this part gracefully

remaning features

  • want to make a file dialog that allows you to choose a hard drive to save the images too - in case the computer that its running on does have a lot of memory
