i think we should move the image creation for the new image saving method (the windows compatible one) outside of the thread, as it seems to hang the saving, and may be introducing undue latency between the draw and captured image
want to make a file dialog that allows you to choose a hard drive to save the images too - in case the computer that its running on does have a lot of memory
